Unsafe AI interfaces usually fail at the frontend boundary: a draft looks like a fact, a suggestion executes too soon, or a link or action appears without enough context. This course shows how to design AI-powered web app flows that keep generated content visible, uncertainty separate from facts, and sensitive actions under user control. You will learn practical patterns for verification, confirmation, undo, and safe rendering so AI features stay useful without taking over the interface.
The course covers failure modes in AI UIs, response contracts, transparent AI states, uncertainty-safe presentation, source-based verification, propose-then-apply action flows, confirmation gates, undo and recovery paths, safe rendering of untrusted content, prompt injection defenses, incident debugging, and end-to-end safe interaction design.
