1 lessonForward Deployed Engineer interviews ask more than coding questions: they test whether you can work close to customers, turn vague problems into plans, and explain tradeoffs clearly. This course gives beginners a practical map of the role, the interview loop, and the kinds of answers interviewers look for across technical, client, and behavioral conversations. It is built for software engineers, new grads, solutions engineers, and consultants who want a grounded start before practicing on their own.
The course covers what FDEs do, how the role differs from nearby paths, and who hires them. It also covers the commonly reported interview loop, recruiter and hiring manager screens, beginner coding and system design questions, decomposition, client simulation, behavioral storytelling, and core AI fluency topics.
