1 lessonSimple stories are built from a small set of parts: events, characters, setting, conflict, and theme. This course explains how those parts work together so you can read and write stories with clearer structure and purpose. It is a fit for learners who want a solid grasp of storytelling basics and the building blocks of strong reading and writing skills.
The course covers story elements and reader expectations, plot as a beginning-middle-end arc of change, and how goals and motivation shape character choices. It also covers setting as a source of constraints and opportunities, conflict with stakes and turning points, and theme as a clear claim supported by story evidence.
